$300 Whitening for a Cause
In my book, The Smile Owner’s Manual, I note that a smile is the most basic, biologically uniform expression of all humans. But a smile does not exist in a vacuum. It is supported by an intricate network of muscles, nerves, and tissues that define the symmetry of the face. When we discuss “Clinical Architecture,”, we aren’t just looking at the white structures (the teeth); we are looking at the entire anatomical framework.
At The Reno Dentist, our approach to Total Facial Esthetics is led by Dr. Jordan. Her background in Neuroscience from the University of Nevada, Reno, provides her with a deep, scientific understanding of facial anatomy and neurophysiology. While many people in Northern Nevada seek cosmetic injection providers at med-spas, we believe that true facial rejuvenation requires an expert who understands the underlying “Clinical Architecture” of the face, specifically the trigeminal and facial nerves that we, as dentists, work with every single day.
Precision Over Procedure
Using Botox and dermal fillers in a dental setting isn’t just about reducing lines; it’s about managing the harmony between your dental health and your appearance. For example, when treating therapeutic issues like TMJ and clenching—forces that can exceed 400 pounds of pressure—Botox can be a structural necessity rather than a vanity. We must resolve these forces before we ever consider placing veneers, or you will simply “grind away your investment”.
Dr. Jordan utilizes her neuroscience foundation to ensure that every injection is placed with clinical precision. This is particularly important for professionals who want a natural, refreshed look that doesn’t compromise their ability to express emotion during high-stakes meetings or social events.
The Architect’s Approach to Beauty
When you choose a professional with a neuroscience-based perspective, you are choosing a clinician who understands the “Why” behind the “What”. We look for the “Ten Commandments of Smile Design,” which include rules of symmetry and proportion. An injector without a deep understanding of neuro-muscular function may get lucky with a good result, but Dr. Jordan aims for a result that enhances your smile and the natural beauty of your face.
We invite our patients across the Reno/Sparks area to rethink what a dental visit can be. Whether you are looking for relief from chronic headaches or a holistic approach to facial rejuvenation, the foundation is always clinical excellence and scientific rigor.
