- Serving Local Veterans: Through the Adopt-a-Vet program, we volunteer clinical time to provide comprehensive dental care to veterans in Reno who lack access to essential services, restoring their smiles and their confidence.
- International Expeditions: Every few years, Dr. Sykes leads dental missions to remote communities around the world, places without electricity or running water, adapting clinical skills to bring relief to those who need it most.

Adopt-a-Vet: Honoring Those Who Served
Our veterans deserve access to the same quality of care as everyone else. The Adopt-aVet program connects veterans in the Reno/Sparks area who lack dental coverage with our team, who donate their clinical time and expertise to provide real, lasting treatment.
The goal isn't just a clean bill of dental health — it's a "Billboard Smile" that reflects the strength of the person wearing it. By resolving infections, restoring function, and rebuilding confidence, we help local heroes participate more fully in the Northern Nevada community they helped protect.

Dr. Sykes is a dentist by training and an adventurer by nature. His international missions have taken the team into some of the world's most isolated communities, working without modern infrastructure to deliver essential dental relief.
These missions often mean setting up in communities with no electricity, no running water, and no nearby medical facilities. The team adapts their clinical skills on the fly — sterilizing instruments with limited resources, treating patients who may never have seen a dentist — to ensure that geography is never a barrier to quality care. These expeditions are made possible through trusted partnerships with organizations that share our commitment to sustainable, compassionate outcomes.

A crown council initiative that coordinates dental expeditions and channels fundraising directly to global children's charities. Dr. Sykes and his nationwide colleagues have been active contributors for over two decades.
